Reunion FAQ

What's changed?

Our ten-year reunion now has a luau theme.  This has proved to be much more popular than the casino night theme.  As a result, we've made changes to the food, decorations, attire, entertainment, etc.

Tickets?

Instructions for purchasing via PayPal are at the official website (mesahigh2001.blogspot.com).  They are available for $50 right now, and after a certain number of sales we will have to raise the price to $60/person. We really want to encourage everyone to buy their tickets ASAP, as well as to save yourself some money.  After you buy your tickets, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with some questions that we'd like you to respond to.

What's the food?

Moki's Hawaiian Grill in Mesa will cater a fantastic dinner.  Several different kinds of meats - including a whole roasted pig - along with a number of sides.  A vegetarian option will be available on request.

Where's the location?

We have secured a stunning estate in Chandler that's incredibly well-suited for the event, and has played host to many successful events (including an awesome luau).

What kind of entertainment?

An interactive dance show, including hula girls and fire dancing!   Live music and a DJ!  And much more!

Drinks?

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.  When you buy your ticket, you will receive an e-mail asking you, among other things, to indicate if you'll be drinking so we can get a head count.

Are there more events than the luau?

We will have an alumni seating area for the MHS vs. Highland Homecoming game on Friday, October 21.  The Classes of 1991 and 1981 are also celebrating their reunions that weekend, so we'll probably have a major presence at the game.  We are also planning a family picnic for lunchtime the day of the reunion.  Other possible events are developing, and we'll keep you posted.

I have more questions.  Who do I talk to?

All questions/comments/suggestions can be directed to mesahigh2001@gmail.com.  Please know that the luau theme has proved to be popular enough that we won't be changing it again.  We want as many people as possible to have as great a time as they can, and we think this accomplishes that.  Check out our official website (mesahigh2001.blogspot.com) and the Facebook page (facebook.com/mesahigh2001) for updates as they come.
